Sooo after letting things settle…

I’m really tired of the “he’s playing out of position” excuse for Rashford, he’s arguably a worse player when he’s on the wing. When he’s up top he’s more of a non-factor, when he’s on the wing and he isn’t scoring goals, he’s an actively awful contributor to the team.

His 3 month purple patch last year is largely the reason we’re playing CL football this year but idk, we should’ve engaged with PSG more seriously when they wanted him.

I’m also getting tired of Bruno. People always talk about his big chance creation (and apparently we’re third in the PL for it this year already) but like where are they actually…? All the blame usually goes to our front three but I’m starting to think there’s a flaw with the stat itself, or at least how it’s used in relation to the chances Bruno creates. He has far more stinkers than he does good games, but he’ll light up every other game with an unreal pass that makes everyone (even me) go “OMG LOOK HOW GOOD HE IS”… it happened yesterday, but the overall game from him was poor. I genuinely think Mount had a better one, but he’s the one getting pelters this morning.

One is on a brand new 300k+ a week contract and the face of the team… the other is the newly appointed captain. Just an awful situation to be in.

nah bruno was very good 1st half he already created 2 big chances by then. bruno has been getting crazy xA last szn and he had weggy antony etc. bruno is genuinely world class. rashford you’re right about w/o his goals he’s useless when salah or kdb etc don’t score they at least can assist or press or control the game elsewhere. rashford pussies out of any duel doesn’t press just jogs about. maybe he is overplayed but he plays like he’s above the whole team

Yeah I’m probably being delusional on the Bruno part, I’ve always rated him I just feel like lately (ending of last season/beginning of this season) his play hasn’t matched the stats that are used to back up his brilliance.

… but I’m not taking into account the fact that we have an awful balance in the midfield and as long as that persists he’s really gonna play his best.

Just frustrated I guess.

issue with bruno is ten hag has no idea what he’s doing he wants to play 4231 then he wants to be possession based etc but the profiles of half the players are transitional players. he needs to just stick to counterattacking

ETH is asking way way way too much from Casemiro. This will only lead to frustrating him in the long run. Like I can see what he’s going for but If you can’t convert chances into goals, you’ll get countered and a lone casemiro will get 3 on 1’d.

Nacho + Shaw have no chemistry. All nacho does is dribble the ball 3 feet, pass it to shaw and shaw has to do all the work before dashing like a mad man back in to position because the final third flops, they’re now getting countered and nacho ain’t good enough to cover

Ngl when it comes to midfield I have the same concerns over Havertz as I do Mount. Arsenal know how to keep and pass the ball so maybe it’ll work for Arteta

Mount and Bruno need to take turns pressing high. They can’t both be up there cuz that’s clearly not working. Have them work on that in training.

Also put nacho back in the oven and use Sancho or Rashford on the left instead

All trolling aside, I feared you guys when Ragnick was set to become DoF. His talent ID is crazy. Once he got snaked I breathed a bit easier. He had a vision and just reading the list of players you guys missed on as a result is actually mind-boggling.

Both are s***e tbh. With the money you invested someone like Ugarte would’ve been nice. He cost about the same amount when he went to PSG. Could spell Casemiro or play a B2B role that would free up Bruno
