Take with a pinch of salt but @ 7:00
tbf before the game would've been before the Maguire deal fell through, or at least became public knowledge. Obviously Murtough would know before the public but he may have said that under the assumption we'd be raising 30 million.
Greenwood chants at away games are gonna be crazy smh
Why would United’s leadership invite all these problems during a rebuild
Because he's a potentially world class player and football/the world is fickle enough that it just won't mean anything down the line. Sure he'll get booed every game till eternity but it just doesn't really matter does it. We can sell him and he has a good couple seasons elsewhere and I guarantee a top club, Premier League or otherwise will go for him. With his talent and at his age he's never gonna be exiled infinitely is he.
And you know, this might sound cold, but if the accuser herself can't give a f*** to actually present evidence and comply with the investigation, to the extent that she's actually willing to get back together with him and have a kid with him, then why the f*** should we really give a s*** at this point.

Alonso from Chelsea got away with killing someone whilst drink driving and his career didn’t suffer much. So it’ll be interesting to see what happens here.
It’s a unique situation from anything we’ve seen in football because of the pics of the victim and the audio recording of him trying to rape his partner posted all over social media. So I don’t think fans will let go of this as easily as they have in the past.

True. They’re not easily letting go of a multi million pound player they invested in since he was a child in the academy
If he had the talent level of an Elanga or Iqbal bro would be out on his feet
Greenwood had ridiculous finishing/shot choices, two-footed ability, and good dribbling skills.
Skills like that are so rare in a player. The club aren’t letting him go unless he’s in handcuffs

I don't think fans will forgive him, and rightly so. But I also just don't think it really matters sadly. Ultimately he's just not been convicted, that's the reality. I'm not saying this to defend him, it just is what it is.
The failure lies with the police and the victim in my view. We can let him go, sell him or whatever, but I absolutely guarantee you he will be back at a top club (if he hasn't forgotten how to play football) within a couple seasons.
Every team just wants the best players and wants to win. And I also don't blame them for that. It's not United's fault that he's not been convicted. And if you let him go then you're just letting go off a top asset for the sake of holding onto some empty morality, at your own expense.

I agree, the guy literally had the world at his feet
but you have to ask yourself what kind of player are we going to see now? Man’s been playing fortnite in his bedroom for just over a year now missing important years in his development
Sending him out on loan and delaying any decision might have been better
They couldn’t win with any decision tbh

He was already so far ahead in his development though. The guys been class since such a young age. That doesn't just leave, even with 18 months or whatever out.
You can send him out on loan but then what? If he plays well you keep him, if he doesn't you don't? Seems even more duplicitous to me.

To get the discourse away from how s*** we are on the field and in the market

Clock is ticking on that bald fraud
he'd walk into their midfield if im Amrabat I'd go there rn
Murtough masterclass 🔥
Bad day for us, very on brand also.
United fans were asking for Murtough fan cams not long ago

Executives need replacing first cus don’t think any manager will do good under these nonces
The players didn't give El rapisto a pass, why would they give it to Greenwood?
Pretty sure he was clashing with them before the video got leaked as well, so I'm sure it'll only unsettle them.

Agree to an extent, ETH has been given much more than any previous manager and still s*** the bed hardcore

Has he s*** the bed though?
Ten Hag does get some blame for this though, if he really didn't want Greenwood it wouldn't happen and he's never said no when asked about it.

And it’s not much more all of them were given boatloads to spend even if they were screwed over in particular windows
(Meant that for the s*** the bed post)
