Before the summer literally nobody said just a youngster striker like Hojlund would be enough, nobody. Now that we’ve overspent for him I see people being content and thinking he alone will bring the 40 goals we lacked behind City last season. We NEED another attacker.

The biggest disappointment for me is that we’ve spent relatively big (£60m) on a midfielder and whilst he’s better than Eriksen he doesn’t actually fix anything we were missing

I think the main solace we can is that our third place finish was somewhat comfortable and it was done with a 37 year old striker who wanted to leave for half of it and the other half with a striker who is genuinely horse s***

Plus I have a feeling we might get a demonic breakout season from this kid…

Looked really sharp in pre season again, he genuinely has the potential to be world class. Only thing is that he basically plays the same position as Rashford. Feel like we might shift to a different type of formation this season because of it, if Garnacho performs every time he plays we need to get him into that starting XI.

What y’all think about a formation with one striker up top, two players just behind him basically as attacking midfielders (pick out of Rashford Sancho Bruno Mount) two wide players (with Garnacho and Antony) two defensive midfielders (Casemiro, Amrabat, Mainoo or even a guy like Shaw, AWB or Pavard if we want a back four out of possession) and 3 CB’s. Know this a FM ass line up but I think it could kinda work if the wingers have enough discipline to get back.

Yeah idk how he’ll get consistent game time if rash is on it again this season.

Oh I'll give them a chance as well, it just doesn't look great on paper. Having hungry youngsters like Mainoo and Amad injured before the season starts isn't great either bc it means certain people can just coast on by as they've been doing.

Only thing I see changing over the season based on signings and rumours is Amrabat in for Mount, Holjund up top with Rashy instead of Nacho on the left, and Todibo/Pavard coming in as rotation for Varane/AWB.
