but it seems like, anyone could be our manager and you would convince yourself to back them regardless?

am very particular on who we hire. thats why I dont want poch or allegri. gotta have right principles. but willing to give them time to adapt if they came in (less leash than for ole). ole has right approach and growing into role has ups and downs.

mou didnt have right approach nor right tactics, and didnt have luxury of time since he never bought in.

lvg I think we short changed but hes an old man that was never going to adapt + mou was a top hire that couldn't be passed on so I understood it (poch is not that).

Moyes died for Fergie's sins and made dumb signings.

Ole has made good signings, developed the youth, and brought joy back to united that hasn't really been felt since 2013. im giving him till end of season before making a judgement on his capability. but you may live in negativity land all year its all good im just enjoying the football as it comes.

the fans do not have joy though. theres big depressing dips every season. ole hasn’t done anything special or difficult.

also what does ole have that poch doesn’t apart from being an ex player? ole wouldnt even be our manager if he didn’t score in 99

why does ole get a longer leash than poch and allegri? this just reeks of sentimentality which is killing us.

its mostly that I dont rate poch and think hes closer to ole than he is to a pep/klopp level of manager.

allegri/poch dont get a leash cause they play boring football. they have a track record for it. and they dont focus on youth as much as ole has. principles matter.

and actually ole wouldnt be our manager if he didnt achieve great results when he first came in, and finished top 4 last year. 99 got him in the door, results kept him here.

@DREE mate you love to argue. I really dont. im going to enjoy the next 2 weeks and hope united go on a tear to finish 2020.

lol at poch playing boring football. allegri has played exciting football as well, he just adapts depending on the players. It just sounds like you dont know anything about them.

theres been boring and dog s*** football under ole as well. u should join discord if you’re not in there tho

There will be better managers out there who can do a better job with this team than Ole. I fully appreciate Ole for bringing back the fans love for United again, which has been missing for years.

But right now he has hit his ceiling, that whole coaching team has overachieved. We need a new coaching team none of this McKenna, Carrick’s, Phelans and those two donkeys from Ole’s Cardiff and Molde days.

these owners need to admit there mistake in hiring this coach. Based of a honeymoon period and get a DOF and a competent coach and staff to get back some stability with the results. This whole inconsistency with the results is not good enough and to me it’s a reflection of the coaching set up.

Right now we are not the ā€˜Man United’ of years back. We need to be able to qualify for champions league every year. I’d be very surprised if we achieved that again this season. But I do hope that he proves me wrong.

dont think discord is for me... group-chat is too reactionary and constantly requires a lot of monitoring of new posts.

forum easier to track / cant have a lengthier discussion in discord that we've had the last few pages.

also I dont want to hear from fans of other teams. here its just us and the occasional Green Bay packer fan.

the cons seems to outweigh the pros unfortunately.

Must of been Maguire best game for United. Fernandes clearly put on a MOTM performance, but Harry put on a clinic too so did some of the rest of the squad.

Imagine if Ole lost 3-0 at home to Villa. Arsenal's are such an embarrassment.

decades of rejoicing at finishing 4th, and this type of s*** is just another day in the life.

We really need a good defensive midfielder. Atm we have to play both McTominay and Fred to have any stability in it. They are both decent but neither are world class and neither are truly defensive midfielders. I love Matic but he has become so slow and simply can’t keep up anymore. Whenever we played with both Matic and Pogba at the beginning of the season our midfield was loose sand. Pogba cant Mark a man to safe his life and Matic isn’t fast enough to intercept balls and mark a player. We need a Partey type player tbh. Basically a replacement for Matic.

Also a centerhalf kind of speaks for its self. Maguire isnt all that, but Lindelƶf can’t win a duel to save his life, really struggles with any player that’s either very fast/agile or very physical (strong)

the only CDM I know that's available in the market is Camavinga. Still haven't seen much of him because he's injured, but a lot of the ligue 1 fans praise him. Real were interested, but I reckon that they'll go for pogba instead. As for CB, Alaba could be another option. Maybe upamecano as well?

after what hes done for France last month, guy will go for like 140 million. if we're too cheap to afford sancho then I doubt we pay for unproven 17 year old. also idk if hes even defensive mid, he reminds me of pogba in a lot of ways.

...but id love to have him
