Pretty confident that the plot of this movie will be that Brainiac is mind controlling/brain washing a large portion of earths heroes; forcing Superman to work with Lex as his only option.

I think for most of the heroes here the actors will technically be playing Brainiac talking through their hero's body, via hive mind.
