whiteboy magzI was late to CBM in general but reading the hate Snyder got in retrospect is crazy. MoS continues to age well and gets better on each rewatch.
Have seen ppl saying they want the same old Supes they’ve been accustomed to and MoS wasn’t it but I can’t understand why directors giving their own interpretation of a hero is a bad thing, if anything it’s what makes it unique. They also jumped the gun not knowing Snyder’s overall plan and maybe Supes would get there in time. Reading some of these old bloggers criticisms seems so wild. They hate the guy.
Snyder had a whole arc planned out for Supes, so we would’ve definitely seen a more happy Superman eventually. But nah people want everything to be sugar coated and s***

All the destruction that "Superman just lets happen" and him offing zod. Two of the reasons the movie is hard imo
Why on earth wouldn't a first outing Superman have casualties with a threat of that size? And why wouldn't he kill him if he was that tenacious in his goal? Movie's a classic, didn't deserve the weird idiosyncratic response that in turn hamstrung the whole franchise

Snyder did a great job at grounding Superman (sorta) just like Nolan did with TDK.
I think that’s what i appreciated most about MoS and BvS is that it was more realistic to some extent. Like what if there was a Superman IRL? They answered those questions perfectly.
But nah folks want a cheesy ass Superman teaming up with Jimmy Olson and the gang and want them to be on some corny s*** smh

Him talking about the preservation of life and how precious it is in Superman and The Elite is something that's missing. If they had some of that in MoS, him having to kill Zod would've been that much better.
