present any inclining of maternal instincts, be not bad looking are basically the criteria for don become fixated w you
overall great series I do think in the last 2 seasons as it becomes more focused dons existential wandering it kind of dips but not that much
Roger might a better roster lowkey but him getting with Megan’s mom drags the rating down, Don fell off too

Megan’s mom is incredible.
Megan’s mom is incredible.
she’s pretty obviously, her character is repulsive to me though I get they’re supposed to be kindred spirits or whatever but Rodger is at least a very charming guy

What's so special about this show
60s setting: it explores the political climate, cultural divisions, the music, the temperature of america, historical events, all through the lens of the characters and their personalities
incredible main character: all timer tv performance, all timer tv writing for the protagonist.
incredible writing: the arcs, motivations, subtle explorations of the characters psyche's are all so sophisticated and well crafted. the themes are all so well explored and it becomes one of those shows that is just kinda about life and humanity, explored through its chosen setting (i see sopranos and the wire like this too)
incredible scripts: just generally super witty and clever in the moment to moment dialogue
incredible ending: the show solidified itself with an ending that was a bold, big swing but perfectly honoured everything the show was about and was leading to
saw an interesting twitter discussion about Hamm
how sometimes avoiding being typecast does more damage than good. if he just embraced it he could've had better roles
