I think Lupe's a great rapper/lyricist but Kendrick is more of a complete artist while still being a great rapper himself.

Kendrick is literally the most critically acclaimed artist of the 21st century(though Kanye sort of is in terms of quantity) and outdid Lupe's career in a couple of years.

And he set the rap world on fire with his Control verse which I'm not even a big fan of.

Don't get me wrong. I still like Lupe and I think he's lyrically one of the GOATS for sure but Kendrick as a complete artist is on another level.

GKMC my favorite album ever but The Cool is much better.

tho i need to revist F&L

F&L is an actual conceptual album with depth. GKMC is really like another ready to die without the gangbanging element. Lyrically, Lupe has always been sharper with words. Kendrick isn't that technical which is fine cause the songwriting on GKMC is a bit better than F&L. The Cool is pretty much better than every song on GKMC from a pure rap and creative perspective
