Believe this is whats known as a "street single"
Also idk just seems like he likes the song and has an attachment bc he produced it lol
It’s funny because he produced it on the iPad using the loops on GarageBand.
i know all those loops used in that song lmao
Ya it'd be weird to rollout your album when everyone is talking about it, articles are being written about it, nonfans are asking about it on social, etc, because a renowned name in music said it's the best rap album he's ever heard. Makes more sense to let that hype die so you have time to release an nft that nobody understands and make a music video of a loosie that people don't care for
Used the hype for a NFT grab.. fair enough
F*** his fans
Nobody bought Drogas Wave!!!
Might as well scam their asses

I'm sure he's been planning the nft deal for a while, before he got the album mixed
And all of his dedicated fans had Wave on repeat for a while (it was big in this section for a while). The problem was he put absolutely no marketing (interviews, etc) into it, so nobody even knew it was out. I was talking to people at one of his F&L shows, who were casual Lupe fans, and they had never even heard of Wave..
That's why it's so frustrating to see him let his hype he finally got die this time around
How do we know 100 Chicagos is a “loosie”??
Drill Music is a soundtrakk produced album. 100 Chicagos is self-produced (?) and made a while after DMIZ was finished recording.

this, plus he hashtagged that it was a loosie in his post tonight about it
100 Chicagos is one of Lupe's most mid joints. I feel nothing for it
to each their own
to each their own
Lupe knows it's mid too. The only time you see Lupe push a project is when it is trash to mid level of his ability. (Tape tape, Drogas light)
He sitting on a album getting praise by his engineer. Tells the dude to pipe down. Then drops this the same day Dreamville, Pusha T and Jonathan Ogdan drops. Not to metion One Piece crazy chapter. Acting like we never had this song already. April fools

Listend to 100 Chicagos again. Like saying a lot more in it than I'm fully catching. Any indepth break downs of the song?
Lupe’s been on a hot streak as of late.
Expect this to be great.

Black(ish) University did a breakdown when the song initially came out. He can be a little longwinded with his personal anecdotes, but he has a solid grasp of the song as someone actually from Chicago. His Mural reaction is also worth a listen if you have the time, I've never seen someone understand so much on first listen.
