he's been a lot more abstract and complex since T&Y. He's stated that he went that route to challenge himself more as a writer.
Food and Liquor & The Cool are considered simple for Lupe lol.
That's one of the reasons why most of his fans still love those albums more than Tetsuo & Youth and Drogas Wave.
Everybody loves The Cool lol.
I'm thinking the lyrics on Drill Music In Zion will be more straightforward but still crazy like the Forest Fires freestyle he dropped.
