I just...what prompted Luca to make this movie? What was he excited about to tell this story? I've seen all of his films since A Bigger Splash and this has to be the least interesting out of them all.
Julia f***ing carried. She's amazing. It actually had Ayo looking bad in comparison, IMO. Andrew Garfield is also great. So was Michael Stuhlbarg actually, lol. Really great acting performances but man, was the movie itself a snooze.
My only takeaway from this is that Eva Victor is somehow even more talented than I thought they were

First Luca movie I genuinely don’t care to watch

Well I guess that explains why it was out of competition at Venice
Huh?

also

Is this good or what
it’s ok. nowhere near as bad as everyone is making it out to be on lbxd/social media imo
u watched it?
I liked this a lot. Seems I’m the only one. But I thought that it was quite good in fact.
I liked this. still gathering my thoughts but definitely more on the positive end. surprised it hasn't been received that well!
Didn’t think this was nearly as bad as everyone was making it out to be. It’s about as good as a campus #MeToo thriller could reasonably be expected to be. Doesn’t make it not a dumb f***ing idea though. But it’s competent.
This is the perfect illustration that a movie is only as good as the script.
Which is why Challengers is classic

very well acted ( apart from ayo she was mid af) writing got a bit sloppy n all over the place wish they kjust focused on the main themes no these side plots julia roberts still fine af
costume did their job very well a bit too well thought julia n ayo were gonna start dancing like mj with the white socks and loafer drip
overall was good but tighter editing more focused writing wouldve made it great andrew garfield played it to a t that LAMB BUDDA
scene in the restaurant really showed his over confidence and arrogance might be the most beautifully shot film this year in outside the top 3 / blockbusters visually beautiful the shots with the wedding band hands
heard people say this put feminism back 20 years i think thats an over stretch but i feel the writing does let it down ( i originally assumed it was written by a man i was incorrect) hosp[ital scene was great julias husband was annoying af n played that role well overall good few steps away from great
