Ariza out 8 weeks for his ankle
and so it begins
At least it's at the beginning of the season. Baze or THT will probably start or they'll go big with AD at the 4, nbd.

god that's annoying
here's to a speedy recovery tho
#StartMonk
We really should sign James Ennis with the Ariza injury. Ariza is so old, idk if he can come back and be counted on…..
I see Bazemore starting move and more minutes going to THT. We could also start DJ in the mcgee role and start AD and Lebron as forwards.
easily our rotation should be this with Ariza out
C- Jordan - he plays in the old Mcgee role. protect the paint, board... defense and hustle. he would see less minutes of the starters. Jordan has muscle and can actually jump unlike Gasol. NBA guards knew Gasol couldn't jump
PF- AD- I know he is suppose to see more minutes at Center. I just like having that big lineup and playing bully ball. especially with our lack of big wings. Jordan looks like he still has some game. AD worries less about D but focus on the 1 option on offense. punish teams that try to go small. He would still see time at center when coach feels its right
SF- Lebron- the man will be the defacto point but guard SF. he will have AD to feed, a shooting at the 2 guard, and a great slasher in Westbrook
SG- Monk- sorry this guy is too talented not to start. he is a sniper who can create offense. he also has room to get better. I think he can shine playing next to our big 3. more pressure on opposing teams
PG- Westbrook- his chance he can play on a title contender. I see him slashing and co hosting pg duties. wish that dude work on his 3 ball ala Rondo hitting all his 3s last year in the playoffs
Bench 5
C- Dwight- he provides that energy and defensive big off the bench. won't start but would get more minutes than DJ
PF- Melo- Stretch 4, his chance to get a ring. floor spacer who is one of the best scorers in NBA history
SF- Bazemore- he will be a key bench player with his ability to play 3 and D and with long wingspan. He can play either SF/SG. Could see minutes with starters if we need more defense in place of Monk
SG- THT - we paid him, so now is the time for THT to step up. No Caruso to compete with minutes, its time for THT to be the 6th man and be consistent. Ideally he comes into the game as instant offense
PG- Nunn- we gave him the full mid level so I expect him to have a nice role. he is the captain of the second team
11th- Rondo - will be saved until the playoffs. Nunn will get his shot to prove himself during the regular season. Rondo is nice insurance in case of Injury, or the team is just playing some LOW IQ basketball. that won't fly with Rondo on the court
12th- Ellington- I think he might be the odd man out but he still be useful. He is a vet who can shoot. If for some reason we need shooting, he is there waiting in the wings
13IR- Ariza
14- Reeves- developmental, bench warmer

I’d prefer Baze at the 2 for defense. At this point, bron or westbrook shouldn’t have to guard the best perimeter player and Monk definitely shouldn’t, that’s a recipe for disaster
Defense looking shaky and russ a turnover machine hopefully these are just chemistry things idk about the defense part tho
Nah man no way Baze doesn’t start
Agreed, his defensive effort has been noticeable just cut down the stupid fouls same way we need Russ to cut down the dumb turnovers, but the hustle is there from both. So Russ, Bron, Baze, AD are the confirmed starters
I know he’ll fix it as the season progresses and he gets chemistry with the team

He won’t
Always been known for them

Chemistry + Lebron playing, he won’t turn the ball over at the rate he has been. Not saying he’s gonna average only 2 turnovers, just saying he’s not gonna average 6+ either

God I hope not..........
Because at 4.1 he already leads the NBA in career turnovers per game
