i think i could personally scout a guy from the g league that could contribute more than brandon knight in 2020
Main takeaway from the article (well, secondary with AD re-signing being the main takeaway but we already knew that lol) is that if the team explores deals for Kyle Kuzma there are teams interested
That's all we needed to hear
Badley will suffice. Hell, give me Yogi Ferrell
We have a good guard rotation if it stays intact. Plus LeBron runs point anyways from a shot creation standpoint 90% of the time.
The glaring concern i have going forward is we need a more reliable third scoring option (Boogie?) & a legit wing defender. Other than that I’m more than content with our roster

Finding salary to match his contract and his worth is going to be difficult I imagine. He only makes $2 million a year lmao
Unless we package DG with him, but we're not getting s*** for DG unless we take back a big contract. Which i don't see Rob doing.
EDIT: Looking at the list of 2021 free agents, maybe we could get one of these guys.
Oubre
Dennis
Dipo
Hardaway
for DG and Kuzma package deal.
If there is another bubble, will Bradley even play? I’ll flip him for a pick or PG
No more bubbble, why you wanna flip out best perimeter and 3&D player for some bum, he’s also on a very good contract, you can’t get better for his contract

Read my mind with those top 3 names, still hesitant on Vic because of the injury history

Yeah, it's risky. But he could return to somewhat normal Vic and at the very least, it opens up cap space for 2021 without a cap hold.

Very true, and even if he doesn't return to top form even just about average Oladipo would be an upgrade of Danny Green lol (no disrespect to Danny just being honest)
Either he returns to form and we can make something work long term if a deal happens, or he doesn't, is still a productive player, and we have 20M+ off the books in a heavy 2021 FA market

Indiana very well could do this deal. The trade checks out on all trade machines.
I like Kuzma.. and I guess I wouldn't mind Danny coming back. I'd like to move Danny before Kuzma if possible but it's going to be hard I think.
It's Rob Pelinka though so maybe..

Seems like the main thing with AD deal will be years; either 2, 3, or 4 with the last year for each being a PO
At first I was thinking he'd do a 1+1 due to the virus f***ing the cap up but I had forgot about the 10 year service max deal which he could get doing a 2+1 and opting out after the 2nd year. That seems most likely, especially with LeBron having an opt out that offseason as well

I'm on a blank slate with Rob, all that media bullshit they were peddling when he was hired...water under the bridge. He was given a bad rep and we see that now. Made the most out of a s*** situation last offseason, he's earned the benefit of the doubt.

He's earned his respect. And frankly, he should've been the one in charge last year. I never trusted Magic Johnson to run this organizaation but I guess it was a blessing and everything worked out.
I'd give more credit to Rob than Magic. LeBron was coming here no matter what.

Yeah I remember you were NEVER comfortable with Magic in charge lmao. And yeah I feel like the KCP deal/Klutch connection already had everything set up, didn't really matter who was in charge at the time that year of good faith being built up already sold LeBron on the Lakers.
What he managed to piece together LAST offseason? Yeah he's definitely earned his stripes, Kawhi and Uncle Dennis tried to bleed us dry smh. Then the Boogie injury happened and he chose correctly between Dwight and Joakim. Not doing the trade for Marcus Morris (he couldn't have forseen Markieff getting bought out but wisely signed him).
And of course with the AD trade being the crown jewel. Fools at the time said we gave up too much, fast-forward a year and we don't care if we send New Orleans more draft picks lol.
