-Boogie wasn't playing this year, so we can use his spot
-He reportedly can still rehab with the team, so he's still around the guys
-Boogie is AD's guy, the team damn sure ain't doing anything to alienate AD, in turn Klutch, in turn LeBron
-Boogie gets healthy, comes back over the summer, we re-up Dwight as well and Javale is the odd big out

Think of it like being on IR in the NFL. We already knew he wasn't playing, no matter what he, the team, or Frank said so this way we can use his roster spot and he can still be close to the team.

This also means that if someone else that does interest the team is on the way in, they can still waive Daniels lol
