"In the last month, the Timberwolves persistently recruited Kuminga, offering their best financial tool in the taxpayer mid-level exception plus a large on-court opportunity.
Edwards was a major part of the full-court recruiting press to sign Kuminga while president Tim Connelly traveled to Miami for a four-hour in-person meeting with Kuminga earlier this month along with productive conversations between the wing and coach Chris Finch."
F*** kuminga
Kuminga is gone

Nigga has the worst agent of all time
would be nice
Jalen Smith might still be on the table too
I question his foot speed on the perimeter, but I like the idea of how much size he'd add to the lineup. Also can play with Mamu too and I'd feel much better about Kessler missing games here and there if we have Smith/Mamu/Looney.

Hopefully Luka keeps up the shape he's in because Luka at that size is a world beater
ppl so concerned about us not having a starting PF donāt even realize how bad it as last year
we didnāt even have a starting-level center
we will be fine regular season wise and will surely make moves before the trade deadline once ownership has settled in

iām miles more pleased as far as the depth this team has acquired compared to last year
all the noise is just laker bias because thereās no way the wolves having him makes them contenders but if we were too the narrative would remain the same amongst us

My nigga we were 3rd with our big 3 missing damn near 20+ games individually

i'm not losing sleep over rui and luke kennard tbh
marcus smart was the only one of those guys we should've tried to maintain as he very much helped defensively
especially hurts too as he's now with a western competitor in the rockets

that's literally my reasoning as to why we're likely to be fine regular season-wise if not slightly better considering health
we are a deeper team on the bottom end than we were last year

Brother, it's over unless Luka average 45

we had a top two offense team shooting wise behind the nuggets which wasnāt optimized for s*** because we didnāt create any turnovers or got any rebounds
now weāre in a much better situation to capitalize on both of those metrics lol
iām not worried about offense with this team
i say all this while still acknowledging that playoffs basketball is a whole other situation and that these flaws will be exploited come then
the rockets for the past two years won 52 games and exited round 1 of the playoffs
it's just two different situations and hopefully it will be addressed how it was like when the mavs made trades before their 2024 run

These don't add up to continuity and the greatest player ever. Also I'm nowhere near sold on the fit of these pieces either, with exceptions to QG and Matisse. I'm not even sure if this team makes the playoffs unless QG and Walker show up. Probably a play in squad

i just don't see how this in isolation isn't a floor raiser to a lot of the issues this team had in spite of their regular season success. in his last fully played season, he led the league in offensive rebounds per game and was top 5 in total rebounds per game
a lot of ppl complain about an overpay here, but this was really the best center you could've paired with luka in the league on paper and i don't really see it NOT panning out as far as fit
now his health is another thing and I do think another backup center would help managing that, but i also think his "health issues" are overstated and he was only out his last season with the jazz due to a preexisting shoulder issue he got surgery for and has seemingly fully recovered
the only offseason addition that is a little bothersome is mamu really
and that's only because his strengths don't really answer any of the problems that this team needed addressing
if he can somehow adjust to whatever role needed then so be it, but a stretch big ultimately doesn't answer the issues this team had

I personally don't value a***ytics anywhere near the eye test. Whether it's Luka holding onto the ball to make a late decision in a pick and roll or it's watching Walker attempt to create his own look through the sporadic passing of AR and Luka because we don't have any playmaking other than them while they're having to be our leading scorers
We're kinda doomed trying to be the Wolves on defense and Kessler was the best big on the market in terms of current day production, the best big for Lukas playstyle imo was Ware.
We have no perimeter D. Utah has the fatigue factor, and a system he played and one they built around him for years. I'm not saying these acquisitions can't work for the future, I'm just highly skeptical of the fit and the front office
