JJ Redick said he spent time with Sean McVay and Tom Brady this summer as he worked through this summer to talk about coaching etc.

JJ Redick, when asked about the starting lineup for '25-26, says "it's not that important to me."

He says he feels like he has 7-8 starter-level players on the team.

He says that his starting lineup to begin last season played eight games together and he used 24 lineups overall

Redick said he and LeBron talk frequently, and had two great in-person meetings this summer, including one dinner in the Hamptons.

"He's in a great spot mentally, and I know he's going to give us his absolute best."

Redick on an offseason point of emphasis for the whole team:

“We’ve asked all our guys to be in championship shape. The commitment level has been very high this summer.”

JJ Redick is asking three things of his players on a daily basis and that's: championship shape, championship communication and championship habits.

JJ Redick says he's “very high” on Jake LaRavia. Mentioned it was a great opportunity for him and his coaching staff to get a young player like Jake in free agency.

Redick on Austin Reaves this summer: “Every day that he’s been in the gym, he’s been the best player in the gym. His body is really good right now. He’s really strong. His burst, his athleticism. It’s evident that he spent a lot of time working on his body this summer.”

Rob Pelinka on the addition of Mark Walter to the organization and how much he expects things to change:

"Mark is an incredibly exciting leader.

As you said, the transaction is still in process, but one thing that's clear about Mark is he has a strong level of belief in the operations of this place, led by Jeanie Buss. and part of our future will continue to be led by her with the day to day operations.

But Mark is just an incredible resource and visionary and I don't see there being big changes."
