Even when the shots weren’t falling they were still executing. Love to see it
Just need some perimeter defense and we should be fine
"We installed a lot over the last three days... our coaching staff was really thoughtful about how we wanted to defend these guys" - JJ Redick
JJ Redick thinks the Lakers' poor 3-point shooting was partly because the game ball was a brand new ball and not worn in at all. He says he plans to file a complaint to the league about that.
"You think I'm joking? I'm neurotic," he said with a smile on his face.
JJ Redick on LeBron and Bronny checking in together for the first time:
“I was wondering why during a dead ball, everyone was cheering so loud and then I was like, oh that’s cool."
The other possession battle was through turnovers. Redick said an a***ytics staffer informed him that the fewest TO's Minnesota forced in a game last year was 8, and the Lakers finished with just 7.
Wolves had 16.
JJ Redick called coaching his first NBA game "awesome." He felt the juice and energy before the game but wasn't feeling any extra jitters.
AD on JJ: “he trusts us, and we trust him. He did a great job with his scheme and game planing.”

My favorite sequence of the night
LeBron on standing at the scorer's table with his son, before checking in: “It’s a moment I’ll never forget.”
Bronny said he was appreciative of Lakers Nation for showing support to him and his dad during their special moment tonight.
"This is a winning business. We are happy to get off to a winning start" - LeBron James
LeBron James says the focus when him and Bronny were on the floor was "keeping the main thing the main thing" and playing good basketball to help the team win. They didn't want to turn it into a circus and make it about them when the team was fighting to get a win.
