I think if DLO has bad games like he did with the Nuggets in the playoffs last year, it wouldn’t matter as much this year because he’ll get pulled early and the depth Lakers have now I think they’ll be able to readjust with variation of lineups they’re able to use
Darvin Ham says that he told LeBron he was "extremely thankful that he packed his cape on the road trip."
After praising the incredible LeBron performance (40 points on 17 shots), Darvin Ham said it was a good overall effort but they need to tighten up the turnovers (15 in 2nd half). Some were due to guys turning down open shots and breaking the rhythm on offense.
Darvin Ham thought Gabe Vincent looked good defensively in his first game back and the offense will come as he continues to get his rhythm back.
LeBron James says the cheers he got from the Barclays fans were "well received" and he just tried to "give it back" to them with his play on the court.
LeBron said a key to his shooting this season has been his ability to stay on the floor more for practices/shootarounds and such that have helped him maintain a rhythm, trying to shoot the same shot every time.
Playing his first game since December, Gabe Vincent said he’s focused on “just filling the gaps,” doing whatever he can to help the team win.
Asked Gabe Vincent about his attitude on defense from a point-of-attack standpoint, as well as fighting through screens. He summarized like this:
“I hate when the other team scores.”
Anthony Davis on LeBron's 9-for-10 shooting from distance:
"The ones that he were shooting weren't hitting the rim. It's always fun to watch... The way he shot it tonight, masterful."
LeBron and AD both echoed Darvin Ham in saying the Gabe Vincent looked good in his return but everyone understands it will take time to get his rhythm back.
LeBron James on how long he expects to continue playing in the NBA: “Not very long. … I’m not gonna play another 21 years, that’s for damn sure. But not very long. I don’t know when that door will close as far as when I’ll retire. But I don’t have much time left.”
