Need front office to get BUSY on these trades. Lebby J and AD doing what they need to do while the bench is just straight booty.......it has to stop

Lebron was 0/6 from 3 and missed alot of shots at the rim that he normally makes

Only JHS was straight booty from the bench and he wasnt even suppose to be getting mins like that

C Wood played fairly well and Christie kept us in the game in the first half and played good D.

31 points off the bench isnt bad

AR will need to be traded if the Lakers want to upgrade.outside of the 29 pick and AR, I don’t see a single asset.

Lakers have DLO and Rui who they can trade

Those are their most valuable assets right now

Reaves is currently not in any trade talks and most likely isnt getting traded, especially with how well he's been playing for the Lakers.

Darvin Ham on the overall message in the locker room: "Guys are disappointed. Nobody wants to come out here on their own floor and get beat. We need guys to play better. The reason we sign them is because we know what they can do...Things aren't going your way, you've got to step up in other ways."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Darvin Ham on the possibility of going back to a lineup of DLo, Austin, Vando, LeBron and AD, which has some continuity from last season:

"No stone shall go unturned We're here to explore whatever we can to right the ship."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Darvin Ham on managing player's minutes: "I'm cringing here looking at the minutes that both Bron and AD had to play tonight, and even Austin."

Anthony Davis played 43 minutes. LeBron James played 38. Austin Reaves played 37.

  • Jan 4, 2024

Darvin Ham: "We can't find any consistency until we get healthy. It's as simple as that."

Ham said once the Lakers get players back, they'll need time to find a rhythm, then the Lakers can find a consistent rotation. 47 games left.

    Darvin Ham:

"I hate losing. I hate not being assertive, aggressive in terms of attacking each game... That definitely flows throughout my coaching staff, the organization and these players. We're gonna see how we could best help them and come up with a solution."

Darvin Ham says the zone forces the Lakers to "focus on the details" and they were not doing that tonight.

"We'll look at the film and see how we can get better from it. Kudos to Miami, they played a great game."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Darvin Ham on the Heat's performance: "They pick up full court and they fell into it a few times...They communicated well. I thought at times, turnovers, we stalled out.

  • Jan 4, 2024

Max Christie says the Lakers need to "stay together" and take accountability for their struggles.

When asked about their inability to figure out the Heat's zone defense, he said it comes down to the team needing to make outside shots.

“It’s a little bit of everything right now. If we keep on this trend, it’s not going to be good for us,” Anthony Davis says.

  • Jan 4, 2024

Austin Reaves says the Lakers "shot ourselves in the foot" in the first quarter with all of their turnovers.

"I got to be better not having those situations happen."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Austin Reaves: "We're more than talented enough to go win games. We have enough depth. We have enough skill. We gotta figure it out."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Austin Reaves on the vibe in the locker room:

"Shitty. We're losing. Anytime you lose, the vibes should be off. If we went in there and the vibe wasn't off with the rough stretch we've had then I'd be concerned."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Austin Reaves clarified what he meant by the vibe is off: "When I say the vibe is off, it's not like we don't like each other...Everybody in the locker room gets along. When the frustration of losing wears off a day or two later, the vibe is good being around one another."

Austin Reaves on the Lakers chemistry: "We've talked about finding that chemistry and finding that togetherness so now we just have to figure it out that's really it."

  • Jan 4, 2024

Austin Reaves on the lack of continuity in lineups, impacted by injuries to role players:

“We can’t use that as an excuse. We’re more than talented enough to win games. We just gotta figure it out.”

Did they not expect the Heat to throw some zone at them? Do they not scout other teams anymore?

They probably did but they have problems executing properly. AD even mentioned on the defensive end that they may talk about doing something when they're watching film but don't communicate properly on the court

Look at this. Reaves or Christe should've made a quick entry pass to Lebron in the middle of the court but they don't react quick enough to execute this and instead Reaves just passes it when the Heat players put pressure on Lebron

Maybe DLO would've made this pass since he has more experience playing PG but Reaves and Christie got thrown in the fire and still learning certain things

Look at this play. Miami is running their zone and an opportunity opens up. All JHS needed to do is be patient and possibly lob this to Lebron

Instead JHS is just paying attention to C Wood hoping to run a pick and roll. But he's in a bad angle and C Wood doesnt screen hard enough.

JHS is good at passing or scoring out of the pick and roll but since that opportunity doesnt presents itself, he passes it to Christie. JHS doesn't even see Lebron motioning for a lob.

Now Christie is the ball handler ( huge mistake). He's not use to breaking down an NBA defense yet and he's not open so he's careless with the ball and turns it over.

DLO would've been able to make that lob.

Ham made the mistake of throwing JHS in the fire and not using his strong suits. Same thing for Christie.

It was a mistake to not let Lebron be the main ball handler when Reaves is off the court.

Instead Ham put these inexperienced young players in situations they're not use to against a well coach Heat team and it leads to miss opportunities, stagnant offense, and turnovers.

  • Ham gonna get fired really soon, I can feel it
