AD signs three-year, $186 million maximum contract extension.

It is the richest annual contract extension in NBA history, averaging $62 million a season.

Could we sign Maxwell Lewis to one of the two ways. I see other teams do it with 2nd rounders. Maxwell is so raw. Could use 2 vets in place of Maxwell

No. Lakers have already signed Maxwell Lewis to a cheap 4 year deal.

You only get three spots for the two way contracts. Castleton, Hodge, and Fudge are the guys that we're running with.

Don’t need DLo in the starting lineup it’s redundant. Let him play make with the bench.

I still don't get why we went away from bully ball and playing AD at the 4 spot. AD has said over and over he prefers to play the 4. He makes team adjust their lineups. I think we ask AD to do too much. To protect the paint, get the boards, then go and drop 30 plus in the playoffs. Plus bang with the biggest guy on the other team, when AD is a little soft when it comes down to it. The Dynamic of Mcgee/ Dwight with AD was amazing. I miss that team. McGee wasn't great, but the man knew his role. He would protect the paint, a big body, board. He did stuff that didn't show up on the stat sheet, like those tap out boards, and just made us big. Then Dwight would come in with the muscle, energy, defense. AD was still good on defense but he could go to work on offense. We broke that up to sign Marc Gasol for a stretch 5. Gasol was just washed so that didn't work out. Our best lineup could be AD at the 5, but all that banging, defensive responsiblity takes its toll on the big man. Notice the Nuggets surrounded Joker with 4 defensive studs so he could focus on offense : Gordon, KCP, Brown, Porter.... part 2 coming

    part 2

I think we give Hayes a chance to start. He was a former top pick for a reason. we would go back to playing big. He excels at defense, is a rim protector, and athletic to handle pick and roll defense on the switch. Look at Lebron history, he's historical has been good at getting the most out his centers. Hayes would be a younger Mcgee with more potential. He would be set up for a couple easy dunks every game playing off Lebron and AD. I think we build up his confidence. He's been stuck playing behind Jonas, who is an underrated stud. Confidence is so big in the league. What Hayes excels in, is what this team is lacking.. Defense, size, athletic ability. Nuggets were bigger and more athletic than us, I wouldn't say more talented.... so my depth chart would be the following.... part 3 coming

  • Aug 9, 2023

    part 3

    my depth chart

C- Hayes, Vandy - Hayes gets the starting spot for reasons listed above. I actually think Vandy plays more 4/5 this season. He grew is a legit 6/10 maybe 6/11... Vandy is Gabriel on steroids.. He's a Swiss army knife. Ideal Vandy is playing forward but due to roster construct, he is a backup5. He's a great rebounder and can guard 2-5. He's a but skinny so we should sign another center for more depth

F- AD, Prince - As stated, I want AD to challenge Duncan as the greatest PF to ever play. I think he has a chance over the next 5 years if he just dominates, which is why he was given the new contract. Prince was a nice pickup for the price. He can play either forward position, had size, 3ball, and plays winning basketball. He still in his prime, so he will be solid role player

F- Lebon, Rui- I think the biggest challenge would be Lebron guarding the other teams SF. I think he can, I think the AD as the 1 option and the ball in DLO and Reaves hands more will help with Lebron energy level. I expect Lebron to coast during the regular season which is fine. He's old and needs to stay healthy. I expect him to load manage and play less minutes. I could easily see Lebron miss 10-15 games. He already has the point record. I see RUI as a super 6th man. he will be the first guy off the bench, and start any game AD or Lebron misses... I expect him to be in the mix for 6th man of the year

G- DLO, Max- DLO gets another chance. He's a deadly shooter, and could feast off pick and roll with AD. I expect Max to earn a solid role. He has that 3 / D ability and could push to start if DLO doesn't play defense.

G- Reaves , Vincent- I actually think Reaves is the point. I just trust his playmaking. He's a rising stud and needs the ball in his hands. Lebron could cut and play off ball more this season. Reaves is that good. Vincent was brought in to add more scoring punch to the second unit. Vincent balled out when Tyler Hero was out.

Wild Card- Cam Reddish - could slide in anywhere between 2-4. He could breakout, and will likely get a chance because you know Lebron is going sit games, or there be an injury. Hopefully he is a steal

Developmental South Bay Lakers - JHS, Maxwell,
    Hodge, Castleton, Fudge

two best bigman in the league at the time. They might have accomplished a title if Boogey didn't get hurt. Kinda sad how fast Boogey fell off...

DLO spaces the floor.. He can win games if he catches fire, and you can never leave him open. IF.. Cam or Max ball out of their mind in camp, I wouldn't be mad at either starting at the 2 guard spot. DLO could be that green light scorer off the bench...

Gabe Vincent should start over DLo in my opinion
