Cliffnotes:

• The reason why they moved up to the 40th pick is because Jesse Buss and the scouting department has tiers and there’s a drop-off after 41. They had 2-3 players in mind at 40 and Max Lewis was at the top of that tier.

• Rob said it was relatively quiet during draft night regarding player trades because of the second hard cap that made it harder to pull off trades. Teams in general were cautious.

• Rob and the front office is recharging today and then will get ready for free agency. He's constantly on the phone.

• Rob said he expect both picks to be at Summer League this year, along with Max Christie and Cole Swider.
