No matter how much I liked her last album I'll never forget how she jumped on Ye about his stage design 'cause badmouthing him was the cool thing to do at the time (and for all we know he always has been nice to her and her whole thing about stealing was perfect bs)

eh whatever. they'll give the frank treatment to anyone, you spend some time in the NYC scene and you realize the people who are doing all the hyping up around these artists are frantic sycophants who call their mom for advice on how to respond to a text from a 3rd degree acquaintance

I really like this song. But as a lead single (I’m assuming) it’s not maybe the best choice but I love it

This is hell they all eating from the exact same hand. Crazy how much laziness you can allow yourself into when you have a solid fanbase who will eat everything that comes out anyway (Adrianne's last album NOW HOLY F*** WHAT AN AMAZING PROJECT )

I think she's the best writer of our generation, two hands and abysskiss have been in heavy heavy rotation recently but thats only because I trust the marination process with everything her + big thief does.

buck meek also released an album this past January. easy listening but equally incredible songwriting and instrumentation. up there on my top albums of this year list so far, highly recommend

The album came out in October and "Forwards Beckon Rebound" is still in my daily rotation. I love how you can feel the authenticity throughout every single song she drops. In a music landscape where everything feels so standardized she really might be one of a kind

She’s been such a huge part of my own self-interrogation process, not only as an artist and songwriter but as a human, i can only say that when i know its completely void of triteness or hyperbole. Where i find lorde to be revulsive with her indulgence in the supernatural adrianne’s ability to flirt with the fantastical is what makes her one of a kind as you mentioned. She never seems as occupied with telling the story of a character as she is with identifying the root, the intrinsic impulses of the universal human. And she does it in a way that doesn’t feel like an all-accommodating performance, but rather an ongoing exercise in understanding her own tethering and ego.

Truly, for me at least, a life changing and life affirming artist.

This is exactly IT. What I love the most with her music is that she doesn't try to incorporate herself in a universe, it seems like she's just recording songs like a healing process of some sort not looking at what should come next. Yet the honesty she's filling her songs with is so poweful that every song imbricates itself effortlessly to end up creating such a coherent universe

lmfao, some of y'all are so sensitive

The last minute of the song, with tbe sunny guitars, drums and vocals reminds me of The Beatles, like a song from Sgt. Pepper's, or Magical Mystery Tour 💞

    Very nothing single

idk i think y'all should go made a Jack Antonoff hate thread and stop f***ing up the Lorde thread.

it's probably largely if not all produced by him so don't bother listening to it if it's that deep lmao

It's extremely hard to be original in music, no matter how talented you are.

Being original is just adding different concepts together and seeing what sticks in the end

Very few people even make the attempt in a legitimate way
