First listen thoughts: think this is really good. Hammer is a really good intro. Album starts so strong. Current Affairs-GRWM it kinds loses its way. Broken Glass and If She Could See Me Now bring it back. David is a really good outro.

I can't wait to listen to this again tomorrow morning. I very rarely latch onto new songs nowadays but a couple from here just had me hooked

She put her p**** on the vinyl. So ig it sounds good.

This was a great first listen, a strong record. Lorde definitely benefits from the flashy and unique production more than the stripped down Beach Boys/Beatles inspired.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the raw vocals to carry with just her voice and her writing can come off as pseudo-deep and forced. Insert a vocoder like she did on “clearblue” and she instantly becomes more interesting to listen to.

Current Affairs is an instant standout
