i went from listening to solar power to pure heroine and
PH is one of the best débuts ever, what happened lorde
i really can’t fathom anyone listening to that Solar Power song and thinking “yeah this is it”
that song is one of the worst i’ve ever heard tbh
Yeah honestly, just not for me at all lol
Well, this was my first full listening to a Lorde album. This is a sweet experience, she puts her brand on it, her delicious delivery and her craft and joy.

The songs i like the most here:
)Lorde didn’t log off entirely; people who live under rocks aren’t nearly so well-versed in Antonoff discourse. Did you see her putting away Hot Ones like they’re chicken nuggets? She’s been reading about the Sacklers (“Born in the year of OxyContin”) and watching Tarantino (“Once upon a time in Hollywood…”). She’s subscribing to trendy newsletters and checking her finsta, which maybe helps explain the album’s bent towards Y2K vibes and wellness fads.
this is really the only thing i'm confused by in the pitchfork review. what's with a lot of people, fans and critics alike, taking issue with her comments on detachment? it's so bizarre to say that this girl is somehow fronting about her lifestyle change. because she watched and referenced a Tarantino movie? someone help...
like, yeah. lorde wasn't locked in some cabin with no satellite service and only the natural world to accompany her. she was just more mindful of her days and how she spent them. why's that so tough to accept for some people?
this track is so fun i can't get over it. JUST ANOTHER PHASE YOU'RE SHOOTIN ON THROUGH

NME are such a dreadful publication
Their scores are always so bad
someone on /r/lorde said that listening to solar power made them realize they don't really like lorde's voice
this actually makes sense
