this rollout been jacked unfortunately. first she releases a song that sounds exactly like screamadelica era primal scream while claiming to have never heard "loaded", then she releases a jack antonoff produced lana del rey song. its rough out here but i still have faith the album will deliver.

honestly think some of the early disappointment came from the fact that the insiders described the sound as more "psychedelic pop", when instead we got something much more folk inspired

at least for me, I would've been way more interested in what her take on that kind of style would be than just another antonoff production that feels uninspired

I feel like this is gonna be a 180 moment when this drops

Melodrama was the same
Some people loved the singles lots of people started writing off the album way too early and then switched up

especially if the album cuts are as good as california

California is nice, but that really sounds like a chorus stitched to a nice melody, and the whole thing, plus Solar Power and Stoned, sounds weak. Mood Ring leaked in potato quality, but it sounded like a generic 2000s pop song, nothing to be wild about. Three songs in, I doubt the album will be different. We'll get slow songs reminiscent of the early 2000s with a distorted guitar in the background playing some notes.
