Don’t really count infinite as a project since it was released in cassette and vinyls only at the time of the release . The slim shady ep came out in 1999 and that’s when he had a major distribution deal and etc. I don’t believe infinite even charted so it doesn’t even qualify in this conversation bud.
But Infinite is still his debut album, lol. The Slim Shady LP, while his major label debut, is technically his sophomore album.
Kendrick number 2 with a concept album
GOAT
And mainstream/commercial album.

You forget eminem albums before 2014 dont have streaming that counts towards charting.
Funny because GKMC is his most commercial-sounding album after DAMN. and those are the only two albums currently charting.
I guess you missed my point. He doesn’t compromise his sound for the mainstream. He not only is charting with the most mainstream of albums but he is also sustaining the quality of underground records m, while wowing critics, and contending for albums of the year from publications. which is an amazing accomplishment in itself for his first mainstream album.

This was the biggest surprise for me. There is no way I would’ve imagined Kendrick charting more weeks than drake with GKMC

DAMN. is damn near a Pop album. This is a false point, lmao.
Gkmc being on there longer than drake album is actually a big w
Speaks to Drake's greatness that he's the point of reference for longevity and consistency in the game.
Eminem and Drake are the goats.
Coal at 8 is surprising

By my rough estimate, Drake would have charted for more weeks than Eminem either late this year or early next year, but both of them would have crossed 2,000 weeks charting on the Billboard 200. Insane for Drake because he did it in less than 13 years. I don't even think there are up to 10 artists all-time who have charted for that long.

I agree but at the same time this list can’t be accurate cause of streaming.
I’m sure this is cover in the preceding 12 pages

How isn't it accurate? Drake has albums released before the streaming era still charting today, so do some other artists. There are only 200 spots on the Billboard 200 every week. Having one album chart for over 100 weeks is impressive and not something everyone can do. That's why there are only 52 albums on the list despite the thousands of hip-hop albums released over the years.

You’re comparing artists who are in their peak where streaming is the norm to artists like 50 and Eminem whose peak in popularity it was purely sales.
Not even singles bought used to equal to album sales back then.

Yes, but what does that have to do with anything? If your music is being consumed, it's being consumed. Michael Jackson still has albums charting till this day that were released 20+ years ago. Drake himself didn't debut in the streaming era. He dropped his first album 5 years before the streaming era.
Eminem is still successful in the streaming era. The peers from his era who aren't simply aren't. 2Pac still charts some albums he dropped before he did on some weeks. The Beatles still chart albums and their last album dropped 50 years ago.
It all just boils down to whether or not your fanbase still consumes your music.

Are you Srs you don’t understand the distinction lmao?
Also spotify launched in 2008 and was properly a thing from 2010 and that’s the main streaming service.
