Looks like BBQ stand was business as usual, nearest protest was 20 blocks away. Cops for whatever reason fired pepper bullets near him, almost hit his niece in the head. In response (we don’t know if he thought it was police or rioters), David fires a warning shot and police then unload 18 rounds, and he gets hit by a bullet in the chest.

Just a terrible situation all-around. No reason at all for the use of pepper bullets. Police even had their body cameras off.

While this is a tragedy, this is police misconduct, and GROSS INCOMPETENCE, resulting in the death of a black man.
