people destroying businesses in their own neighborhoods doesn't hurt the businesses, especially if it's big chains, it hurts other people in the neighborhood. No one gives a s*** about a walmart being looted. In a lot of food desert type cities, if you burn or loot a deli or some s***, and they pack up and leaves, what's left for people in that area? No one's coming in to replace that if the property leaves and says the reason they left is protest damage.
It makes things worse for the people in the neighborhood rather than the people they're actually protesting against. This is the US too - it's not like we have extensive safety nets where if these businsses leave there are public services to make stuff better. These protests clearly aren't going to get those services added either. Like, don't get me wrong, I understand attacking s*** in a protest, but shouldn't you be going to the rich parts of the city and attacking the businesses there? Why would you be attacking s*** mainly in your own neighborhood? What good does that actually do if it's your neighborhood's wellbeing you're fighting for?

GangstaliciousBecause the law doesn't own AutoZone. An innocent man does and his life could otebtially be ruined. If people are in the buildings they could get hurt, other civilians property is in the building and they get effected. Ain't no way to justify this s*** and y'all know it. Redirect this same anger towards the people that deserve it. People are literally surrounding the guys house so he can't eat delivered food, that's a much better way to handle this.
Mindless destruction of innocent people's property and putting people in danger is gonna be how they justify using extreme measures to put down even the peaceful protests.Yeah i agree but what about when the cops block off he guys house? You cant let them off the hook that easily.
And also the stores are closed before any of this happens so people arent murdering in cold blood here.
You think the media would be giving this nearly as much attention if it were people singing in circles protesting?
