Yeah I agree, I'm more hopeful in the reinvestment. I knew they wouldn't actually cut the budget significantly so quickly. Even if they wanted to (which I doubt they do lol) they still have to deliberate and work out what they're defunding, which I doubt would be easy in a system so convoluted
It was something like the mayor already gave an $100mil increase to police officers to provide a pay raise for them when they got bachelors or above degrees or something,
So he increased funding before he did this new thing..
