When you have so much history at the touch of a screen, of how this country was built, like cmon dude u never learned about segregation, u think racism magically went away in the 60s or something? and that people on the "Left" mention it just for fun? Not because police officers get away with killing unarmed people all the time here?

Because a lot of people who arguing that are
1. Not arguing in good faith: They are opposed to the advancement of black communities so they want to deny that there is any systematic oppression to fight in the first place, gaslighting activists.
2. Do not want to see themselves as privileged, because they believe it would invalidate their achievements. Its hard to admit you have an unfair inherent advantage. If you studied hard for 4 years and went through 10 interviews its hard to accept that you were 2 times more likely to get the job than that black guy in the lobby because of your skin color.- Jun 4, 2020the reds
