i walked around philly today and at least in and around wider center city area (didnt go near city hall or the clothing stores), it seemed like things were more or less over. from what i heard north philly still going crazy and there were protests in east philly near the bridge but that was basically it. it was surreal walking around. damage wasn't as bad as I expected, but literally everything was completely boarded up and closed. no pharmacies, no grocery stores, nothing. restaurants still open though, even on chestnut & walnut (streets prior looted the most). weirdest thing was that cops were just sitting around eating lunch and s***, no protestors anywhere in sight. in rittenhouse square, cops were playing basketball with some older teenagers. all while like 6 helicopters just stayed in constant circulation around the city overhead. it was all really weird
