Why do y'all find the blackout thing corny?

I think if people post just to post without any information or sources to help then it serves little purpose

it's kinda like the whole saying "thoughts and prayers" when shootings happen.

It doesn't do much any good if people aren't able to find information on how to support and be safe in the protests etc

In countrys where there is no awareness about what is going on in the USA right now, it is helping spreading the awareness

With what it was SUPPOSED to be, a blackout on entertainment and a shift in focus toward what is happening in regards to the uprising, it would have been good, content creators would focus on relevant information instead of putting out their content for personal gain

but it got miscommunicated as just post the black screen and everyone did it without thinking
