yeah this is pretty sad. i studied risk and insurance in school and people have no idea that most commercial general liability policies do not cover rebellion / civil unrest as standard. if coverage is excluded, it has to be endorsed into policies for an extra cost, and most small businesses do not opt into this kind of insurance.

so the whole "they have insurance, they'll be alright" statement is not true for most small business owners tbh.
