  • Basically I've haven't read most of the books that were considered "classics" while I was growing up, even though I saw some of them in junior high. My next read is probably Catch 22 then Catcher in the Rye.

    Richard Price' Clockers is amazing.

    More of a crime thriller.

    Currently reading Toni Morrison’s A Mercy, a short novel for fun

    Madness, Rack, and Honey by Mary Ruefle, an essay collection on poetry I’m not in any rush to finish. Was a birthday gift, so that’s nice. Haven’t read any of her poetry

    & Honoring the Ancestors by Donald Matthews, an academic study into the African roots within African American religion & expression
