yeah, one of the members died and one of the brothers (lead singer) left & went solo.

after that 'women' became 'viet cong' (renamed to 'preoccupations') and they made this marvelous tape which i 100% recommend

the frontman who left's biggest side act is 'cindy lee,' an outfit wherein he makes some of the most romantic and intense music i've ever heard, would also rec his LP 'acts of tenderness'. i know you'll like it cause you like doo wop and he takes big influence from it

but yeah, Public Strain is all-time record for me. use to listen to this all the time:

Does history repeat itself or are humans a shared conscious that unconsciously (or consciously) mold ourselves into those before us

Its a bit of both, history is often cyclical but esoteric concepts comes into play as well (which is something not all agree with, but atleast the latter statement is)

I was curious because 2 big pandemics (Bubonic plague,Spanish flu) both followed some kind of renaissance. I’m wondering if that could very well be an upcoming thing in 2021/22

Thats an interesting idea, I suppose that creativity is often heavily linked to some form of negative event/energy. Forming as a response to it. It would be great if such positivity could later form after the mess that 2020 has been, it just leaves me wondering that if such cycles are fated its such a f***ing terrible thing that these events repeat even if it does lead to the eventual blossoming of the flower of creativity
