think i remember reading it was originally meant for disney+ and that makes sense combined with no pleakely cross-dressing the cgi budget had to be almost soley redirected to making Stitch look the best

I haven’t seen this yet, not sure when I will, but the whole backlash about this remake that I’ve seen online has me remembering that I honestly don’t mind that these remakes exist.

Why?

Because the original still exists. If the remake sucks, the original is right there for you to watch. People are acting like it’s replacing the original when it’s really not.

I think the motive behind these is clear: money. And that’s blatant and trash imo

Doesn’t seem like they’re trying to entertain anyone (they of course are, I’m sure a new kid thinks this is great) — but for the older folk, smh

I think this complaint about Lilo & Stitch is kinda silly because it's already a franchise with four movies and three TV shows. This is just the eighth installment. Only difference is it's live-action now. L&S is more of a brand like Pokémon, Sonic, Looney Tunes, Mickey Mouse atp

And I like the princesses live actions too

Look at yall defending Disney live action slop So many creative stories passed over with the amount of flops they have with these movies already

I liked this a lot ngl

Stitch was the highlight for me and the girl that played Lilo did fantastic as well

Didn't watch it yet but apparently they:

-Removed Jumba's accent completely

-Made Jumba the main antagonist, ruining his whole character arc from the OG

-Had no Gantu

-Retconned Cobra Bubbles

-Retconned Nani wanting to be a surfer

-Removed some of the best scenes from the original like the Ugly Duckling scene and Lilo's Elvis obsession

Yeah....it's a no for me dawg. At least Mufasa was an original story. This is basically just another cash grab from Disney falling back on nostalgia instead of quality.

After watching the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’, with that very explicit Easter egg, I’m sure Disney wants to bring this to the big screen in some way.

They’re going to make their own Sonic or Pokémon.

I don't get these live action versions of movies that already looked really good and were fun as cartoons

People should boycott them and force them to start making new good original cartoon movies

Cgi stitch is very cute though what a marvelous little man

Lilo being an Elvis fans is very much there 🤨

After Nani is fired, she gets a job as a surf instructor for awhile

Cobra Bubbles is there and hes still an undercover agent, but he's accompanying an actual social worker. I liked this change

The only big difference really is Jumba
