But then you can’t diss rappers on the other hand and say they take long to drop music. My nigga they are writing their own music.

It doesnt take 5 years to write 16 songs

Obvious Yachty was involved he was credited and was around Drake 24/7 the last 3 years lmao

People who produce and do adlibs are credited. But if this is real it seems he wrote the whole song.

You think artist only write the exact songs they put on an album. Why are y’all trying to even justify this s***?

And when you have a real life, go through real writers block, have kids and write your own music, it can take a while to be inspired again.

But I get it. It would be too hard for you to admit that normal people can’t operate like machine and the only reason your guy does it because he has tons of help.

If it’s real it’s nasty work. Drake is HIM. He is one of them ones. He don’t need
To do this s*** especially with people like yatchy

You have to realise how stupid the Drake-Ghostwriter narrative is.

No one in history has his amount of success - writing for himself or others. If you’ve listened to him from the beginning you will be aware exactly how he sounds/writes.

The idea there is a person(s) who is capable of what Drake does but they’re hiding in the shadows is nonsense

Couple that with the fact that most people don’t even know what ghostwriting means (when a writer is credited it isn’t ghostwriting) or understand how collaborative making music is then it is easy for the confusion and f***ery to take hold.

Drake doesn’t need anyone so the idea he would ever need anyone to make a song whole-cloth is a non-starter. And that goes for guys at the top of the art like Kendrick too.

They may get a line here or there, change up a word, use someone’s idea or cadence and want to credit said person. But none of these guys need anybody.

This is just chatty patty rap s*** for those who want to say everybody their guy is on roids

  • Drizinald

You’re taking this as being real.

The intonations on certain words don’t even sound right - not even the way Yachty would say them.

Aside from that reference tracks don’t mean what most people think they do. One person can write the whole thing and then want the cadence/flow another artist can bring to it.

Personally, I’m leaning to fake, it just doesn’t even sound human.

    super cope

I love Drake but this is not fake

Yachty literally sounds like this all the time, if you listen to his recent songs you can find this exact intonation on a track like Solo Steppin Crete Boy

lmao why is this so hard for ppl to grasp?
plenty of artists have writers. I don’t think Drake is suddenly gonna stop using a technique that works for him just bc he got exposed for it in the past. If anything he probably just stopped working with writers outside his camp. I think he probably gets writing help from people like Boat bc they won’t publicly take credit for the work they do.
Y’all will keep saying it’s AI until the You Broke My Heart Smiley reference leaks

    With what evidence?

A reference existing =/= that person wrote the whole verse

Dumb as hell to try to equate that but push a narrative fellas

You’re being disingenuous. Drake is constantly telling other rappers with real life’s etc that they can’t keep up and all of this s*** and then he gets entire records.

Stop it. But I get it you gotta ride for your guy.

I just don't think a real reference existing automatically means that person wrote the entire track and Drake did nothing lol

Drake and Yachty clearly were working together, who knows what went down.

If he doesn’t have a problem getting help with s*** like this then why not a lyrical song?

kinda a bad way to look at it. gotta put yourself in the shoes of an artist. most artists at this level (rappers included) have reference tracks, this s*** isnt a bad look to other artists because they know how it works

what i will say is its alarming how many reference tracks for Drake have been aired publicly, them s***s are usually sealed air tight by most artists/camps. there’s no way someone of Drake’s status should have this many leaks unless its being done deliberately (which is whole nother theory i have)

    Double edged sword tbh

On one hand I definitely think Drake will forever have to wear these blemishes and it’s totally understandable given the foundation the genre was built on

    But

On the other hand hip hop’s reluctance to embrace collaboration holds it back. I’m not saying someone should be writing all your raps, but I’m sure the fear of even getting help as a MC prevents creativity which is dumb to me personally

    LikewhoIsHe

“Yachty is writing for Drake. Who knows how many songs he has written from him.”

Sounds like an A.I sentence idk why

Because the “who knows how many songs he wrote for him” line is standard copy-and-paste NPC Drake online-hater-edgelord term for

“I’m gonna throw out this line based on no evidence to fool people thinking every song is ghotwritten when this and a couple other reference tracks surfaced despite hundreds of songs in Drake’s catelog and despite there being no evidence that these reference tracks aren't AI”

When you put yourself in that “best rapper alive” category nah you shouldn’t have whole ass verses and songs written for you, you can’t brag about your run and how often you drop when you getting this type of help.

Show me all these reference tracks for these other rappers you speak of

Ye and Travis have a ton of reference tracks leaked but they don’t put themselves in the same category as Drake does
