I'm asking who is to blame for that perspective. I remember Yachty going up to Hot 97 vividly. I remember Ebro's dumbass tryna give Uzi Vert a DJ Premier beat to freestyle over.
Ebro himself is probably singlehandedly responsible for the rise of nojumpers and DJ Akademiks platforms. While him and all those archaic ass radio hosts were belittling and laughing that new generation of rappers out the room, other platforms grew from giving them shine (e.g. DJ Akademiks)

Lil Yachty has definitely grown to be a very good rapper, but the unfortunate fact about the close-mindedness towards his rapping is that it isn’t so much about his rapping ability…as it’s about his voice
Anyone who shoots down his “rap ability” is really shooting down giving him the title of a good rapper cause of his voice. It’s unfair but yeah
