I don’t get this nigga man
Nigga will body every feature he’s on go on a media tour talking about how he the goat, have people debating between him and Jay-Z, then go in the booth and deliver some utter nonsense
His verse on Nas s*** was immaculate flow was tight, cadence and schemes were masterful how tf is this the same nigga b? Flow Goofy as s***, beats goofy as s***, bars weak asf 🥱
Who tf does this nigga think this s*** appeals to? It’s not like this s*** bout to do well commercially lol. This s*** is literally for no one.
Somebody really need to talk to this guy man. He has no sense of perspective or reality obviously. He knows people consider him a top tier goat but I don’t even think he understands why fr. This is not it Weezy enough is enough with this silly s***
On the features he has someone producing him. They’re not his songs
and I'm still eating with this appetizer lmaoo
who else is dropping a project like this leading up to an album
you know what, maybe i'm delusional, but i just have fun with what Wayne does, thank you goat and happy bday again
how can u hate, mans is in a good spot in life, releasing what he wants, on his bday put out a project with fun left field tracks leading up to his next main album, running out with the packers, looks happy
“who else is dropping a project like this leading up to an album”
Literally no one and that’s the point lol
yea almost over and it’s kinda rough
to the bank, tuxedo and act up i guess are the salvageable ones
“who else is dropping a project like this leading up to an album”
Literally no one and that’s the point lol
& thank God for that
When it comes to C5... I completely agree. It's the musical equivalent to a stale cookie. Let it all work out is great but doesn't justify how weak the whole album is. The production value & quality control completely dropped after Birdman was out of the picture.
I liked it when it came out, but it was more because we waited the whole 4 years and I didn't want face the disappointment. I really wanted wayne to win. but at some point you have to stop lying to yourself. It's a poor album musically
“ I liked it when it came out, but it was more because we waited the whole 4 years and I didn't want face the disappointment.“
Real one for admitting this
Y’all realize Wayne don’t even make his albums right?
He just raps lol
Blame his team for assembling this project
But Wayne is the one spitting these repetitive p**** bars
So who’s fault is that?
But Wayne is the one spitting these repetitive p**** bars

It's not even (to me) about the repetitiveness of it. It literally just sounds like s***.
no new b****es wasn’t bad probably the hardest hitting beat out of the bunch
tity boy though
i liked the build up and his rapping but the song falls apart after the beat drop
gotta fundamentally disagree with your Carter takes and i kinda think ur missing the whole point of what Carter albums are...
Carter's are the mainstream snapshot of the greatest music Wayne is making at a certain time in his life.
Yes in 2004-2005 it came out in the rawer more rap heavy C1 and C2
by 2007 he was a mainstream rapper and C3 is the showcase of what a mixtape rapper with all the budget in the world sounds like
C4 was more of the same and sounds so bombastic, that was his vibe at the time, bigger than life, back from jail, keep killing it
(obv not like before but the album sounds huge)
C5 came after a dark time and reflected a more personal side and story even in the sequencing and theme (Cita audio all over)
AND STILL sounded like when a rap legend commanding massive resources for his version of a personal mainsteam album
each Carter had a mixtape/feature run leading up to it and C6 ain't no different.
Good points, but totally disagree with C5 "AND STILL sounded like when a rap legend commanding massive resources for his version of a personal mainsteam album"
Since C3 his subject matter has regressed. He hasn't evolved as an artist, and that's just being real.
FWA still Wayne's most underrated album. Top 3 album for me
London Roads top tier Weezy song
Gives me 2013 No Worries Weezy vibes, call me crazy but I have a soft spot for the silly Wayne songs
FWA still Wayne's most underrated album. Top 3 album for me
Top 3 what?
Honestly, how hard is it for someone around him to just play 2004 - 2008 Weezy songs in the studio to create a vibe to get Wayne in that mindset?
Or just calmly say, "Bro you should rap like this..."
Don't make it seem like you're saying he's wack now (which he is), but just passively say, "Damn you were flowing on here.."
Anyone thinking people are coming into this thread just m to hate are delusional. The only people in here are 30 year old Wayne Stans who are f***ing livid lol.
lmao damn I feel aimed at :chanlaff:

u right
u right
We all love Wayne, and it's so frustrating because we KNOW that he is MUCH more capable than this.
“who else is dropping a project like this leading up to an album”
Literally no one and that’s the point lol
yea you right..
wayne been feeding his fans regardless
you can keep the 5 year gap of no music that most artists do nowadays
im good with wayne supplying at least some sort of musical life untill the actual album
good or bad, no one drops a mainstream streamable project on the lead up to an album. y'all sound JUST like you did when IANAHB2 dropped and look at everyone praising that now
We all love Wayne, and it's so frustrating because we KNOW that he is MUCH more capable than this.
i know mann i knoww
still this didn't damper my hype for C6, he really shapes every Carter album in a great memorable way and can't wait to see what he has in store
hurts to not see more people atleast enjoying this for what it is
yea you right..

You're good with him dropping bad music?
What's the enjoyment in that? Just to say, "Wayne dropped new music"?

More power to you, man.
Like what you like!
Just don't want you to have to accept whatever he gives you just because its "Wayne"
As fans, we should hold artists accountable/to a standard that they've set for themselves. We can't just take what they give us a like it.
Good points, but totally disagree with C5 "AND STILL sounded like when a rap legend commanding massive resources for his version of a personal mainsteam album"

Exactly. Like bro you're over 40, can we get something a little bit introspective? Not just the same surface level bullshit with absolutely no substance
yea you right..

Seems obvious you're just defending Wayne bc it's Wayne. Our favs drop bad projects sometimes man it just goes like that
