Wonder whatever happened to that Weezy Vs Wheezy project that was supposed to come out, and I quote “Hell or High Water”
LOL
It got scrapped soon as that song with Young Thug flopped

like they chose the most lackluster weezy x thug collab
you telling me there was NOTHING recorded that was better than this? smhh
People said it about C3 too. It's because Wayne is one of the few rappers who is able to stay mainstream across decades without having a large fanbase like eminem. Then when he switches the sound up a loud small group of people will always hate.
Eh...with C3, it was more so just Internet nerds and backpackers who hated on it.
C3 was a universally loved album when it first dropped akin to Graduation and GRODT. They even did a street interview in NYC back in 2008 about C3 and everyone was f***ing with it.
C4 was more polarizing in real time and lost a good amount of hype after the 1st week. Take Care ended up overshadowing the album later that year and Drake became the new top dog of Young Money then.
C5 was actually better received than C4 but that's partly because of the Birdman situation that forced Wayne into a hiatus and gave people enough time to miss him. The introspection on the album played a role too.
C6 is in a weird place because Wayne hasn't really made much of a real buzz outside of his features in the 2020's. His projects this decade kinda got overlooked regardless if it was trash(The Fix) or solid(Welcome 2 Collegrove).
Also, the loosies and pre-album singles flopped and had no real staying power too. Honestly, especially with She Will blowing up on social media, Wayne might need to tap into "The Boy" for his next lead single for the rollout cause everything else hasn't been sticking.
no
i’m saying this same thing is always said about the latest carter album
we can be on Carter 9 and y’all mfs will still say “so you think C9 is as good as 1-6”
I think that means that every Carter after 3 has gotten progressively worse

really well said i completely agree
still tho, this my goat and i’m so excited for C6 and to welcome it into the Carter family
and say what you want, but C6 (even with this random* ass list of features) sounds like it’ll have a distinct sound/feel
which is more than what you can say about the majority of generic rap albums these days, even from superstars (im looking at you Lil Baby)
Disclaimer
**random but goated, all those artist and ideas are great, they justt look mad random next to eachother
I’m not expecting Carter 6 to do big numbers since Streaming Era have played major role to fans not buying albums like they used too but I think it will be great album since Wayne has been working on it for 6 years and Wyleaf will be the executive producer for this album as well
Any snippets ?
all alone with warren g which might not make it

not C6 but i imagine mgk song could be similar vibes to this song. Also listen to aye and d*** dealer.

Hopefully no singles pre-release its not needed.
this cover so hard

anyone a little worried given the features list? Hoping there'll be some surprises
