album is good. it is not the greatest album in history but its a good album, keep what you like and discard the rest and theres a good 5 songs on here that i’ll keep

I don’t even get why Wayne fans are going so hard for this. It’s a late career album from an already established legend 26 years into his career, and it’s not good. Who cares? This album won’t affect his legacy in any way, shape, or form, I don’t get why they’re getting so defensive about it

There is a horrible Weezer cover, I mean possibly the worst cover of a song ever, on here and then separately a circus beat with elephant trunk noises. It is about the music this time

Music discourse really is cooked. Too many people who go off of narratives and feelings outside the music, making up their mind before hearing it. The reactions to this are a strange social thing and have nothing to do with the music.
This is crazy because Wayne is like one of the very few rap superstars where outside narratives never impact discourse of his music
Can’t say the same about people like Em, Jay, Ye, Drake, etc. All of those guys discourse around their music is centered around people’s personal feelings about them as human beings.
99% of the time I see people s***ting on Wayne music, it’s about the music.
Nobody was even talking about C6 before it released, there was no eager anticipation to s*** on it

Wayne gets major softball treatment because he was relentlessly s*** on in the early 2010s and given derogatory names like “Lil Gayne”, so it’s embedded in them to defend him.
Plus after the SB s*** with Kendrick, the last thing some of them want is to admit he actually wasn’t the right choice for it at this point in his career. You can see these users projecting by starting some of their defenses with “But If Kendrick…” because that’s what’s mainly on their minds.
Wayne a legend though and in my personal top 3, and no album is gonna change that for me at this point. Even Em, who hasn’t dropped a great album since 2009, is still in my top 15 ever regardless of what he drops.

Not really. Theres multiple songs on CV that clear this entire album. And that’s not even getting into CIV or the ones before it.
