Never got the hype behind him or got on the āgreatest rapper aliveā train.
Heās always been āmehā to me when it came to the big artists in the 00ās.
Kinda reminds me of Carti in a sense.

the biggest driving force of wayne was his fanbase tbh
i dont think people realize how catapulted he was by the sheer force of fans forcing him into the conversation, he was never supposed to be commercial
that isnt to say he isnt actually good or doesnt have great music, he def does. C1 and 2 are undeniably classic albums i think.
its actually one of the coolest moments in hip hop and needs to be studied
and i think youre right, its very similar to carti, even though i dont fw him.
