i get what you're saying, but doing it in a way like that is such a unhealthy feedback loop as an artist
especially in the case of uzi as he's someone who in the past has sacrificed their own initial creative direction in order to appease "fans"
also a lot of the uzi fanpages are deadass unhinged... i'm not even in the uzi comm like that but those guys are actually on some weird s*** that's all
i don't think it's that uzi sacrificed creative direction to "appease fans" as much as it is that the experimental music he makes is his worst s*** a lot of the time.
uzi is in a weird spot since he is one of the more commercially successful artists out right now, clearly cares about being commercially successful, but also wants to make the kind of music that is way different from his bread and butter. ultimately he's gonna release the music that makes him the most money, and that's not the experimental s***.
i'm not trying to call him a one trick pony bc he's not, but there's a difference between "appeasing fans" and just making the kind of music that sells. uzi often opts for the latter when it comes to his albums.
