They told you in the review that Pink Tape is a bloated mess with Uzi giving a lot of weak verses and getting lost in the instrumentals

Wanting an artist to make the music they “used to” make is such a cliche, lazy, boring, and close minded take

This is so much more interesting than ea imo it's wild to see all the ea love down the line when people weren't really into it at release

People in this generation are completely incapable of appreciating s*** when it drops too busy being cynical and stroking they own egos trying to win online debates instead of actually listening to the music

Then when the dust settles and no one is debating about the album anymore THEN they go back and actually listen to it and fall in love with it like the real ones did from the beginning and when the next one drops they put the old one on a pedestal and just rinse and repeat the hate with the new one

The cynicism among critics and fans of this era is what’s killing music not the artist themselves, a lot of artist still creating interesting and entertaining experiences for us to enjoy they just go under-appreciated. It really pisses me off as a creative myself for any artist not just Uzi. Been happening so much over the last 5 years or so

EA was safe as f*** and had mainstream appeal, Pink is mostly experimental

EA still doesnt get a lot of love but in context it was the peak of Uzi’s career following LiR 2, XO TOUR LIFE, New Patek, and the insane feature run he was on.

EA still isnt widely loved but it much more cohesive, focused, and fun than Pink Tape, even if it marks a point of his career riddled in insecurity and self doubt

Yeah I wouldn’t put it over any other studio album either. Hard to judge if it’s better than Uzi Vs the World or LIR too because all the mixtapes have like around 10 songs while this has 26. The highs of Pink Tape might be higher but is it overall better than those mixtapes? Hard to say.

Overall still a solid project but it’s not something I will play front to back like his other projects

People hate the sample flip genre and interpolations intellectually. It's still the best executed most well rounded song on this album.
