like its so insane to me mans are holding a grown adult as this thing for talking s*** about a religion at 17 years old on their anonymous twitter page like hello ??
well yea he shouldn't have said that
well yea he shouldn't have said that
but more importantly, he should've apologized and taken ownership but he never really did + he continued to mock other religions so i wouldn't be surprised if he's still islamophobic
well yea he shouldn't have said that
But he’s just anti religion bro its all groovy 🙌 Cheers from r/Atheism

That part
Religion is directly related to his story still so thats why people bring it up
It’s real. There is a police report.
I'm not trying to come off insensitive or anything either just felt weird but if it is real then it is a sad thing to see and have to experience in front of the world. hope he's okay
At first I’m so jaded I thought this could be fake but idk seeing some of these other videos he has been tweaked out for a while
yeah same. as someone that's had psychosis episodes and privately said nonsense to friends and s*** idk there's something about him that seems coherent and in control of his wits but everyone experiences s*** differently and it could be me being cynical
S*** still fake lol
He got arrested and charged at a cop as a stunt?

ehh related to his story is making it deeper than it seems
nigga twerked on the devil and pretended to be jesus
south park does worse s*** than that on a weekly basis and nobody been crying bout that s*** cept right wing mfs.

I don’t think it matters if he apologized for tweets he made at 17 years old on an anonymous Stan page weird people dug up on twitter that’s talked about on some corners of the internet no. I’m not holding someone to a tweet from when they were in high school. It’s silly
Being anti religion is a valid not uncommon view for ann anthiest especially for Islam, What he said there as HIGH SCHOOL CHILD was just a stupid ignorant way to say whatever he wanted to say cuz it’s wrong isis isn’t known to be faithful to the texts by any scholar.

he definitely rode the wave hard

How is my faith in Christ in any way harming you
Montero was a legit good/great record but it feels like he’s just been f***ing around since it dropped
his two singles after were a BET troll and a League Of Legends collabs
then tried to actually comeback with that lame Jesus song that was ripping off HUMBLE
How is my faith in Christ in any way harming you
Your personal faith could be applied with a whole host of apologetics so not that in itself however I’d say Christianity itself has and still is harming me and people like me every day, the same with Islam, though of course not universal and many having great applications especially in the west. You may argue that’s not faithful to the texts others would heavily disagree. They may fight u on claims of the outright endorsement of slavery if it were in the Israelites favour in the OT, the branding of homosexuality as a sexual sin abomination, and the justification of the genocide of Canaan. For Islam itself literally in the Islamic law of the 5 main schools of Sunni Islam that homosexual acts are punishable by law or violence, and that feminine men must be cast out of one’s home, and the violent rhetoric about former believers such as the Bukhara verse explicitly saying whoever changes his religion kill him. u would probably disagree on some of this but they are valid points to argue on and very good reasons to see a faith as harmful. Yes bad people use faith to justify bad things however many would argue within the scripture is the bad things. Those are points of contention, conversations, reasonable views people have. Nas x in this instance is just wrong obviously isis doesn’t actually gaf about the text and disobeys it clearly. I’d also argue that a big section of the population grounding their morality in unreachable metaphysical truths that are often radical which have no wiggle room for adjusting to an agreed upon framework really slows societal progress in some ways. That doesn’t mean to hate all thiests or something or think they are all immoral or unreasonable or unintelligent obv it’s just to think that tradition is something we are better off without at this point and causes/caused harm.

What are you even trying to say? That religious fundamentalism is bad? And that because religious fundamentalists still exist in the world you need to be treated with kids gloves by forum users?

my point is that he has a pattern of being anti-religion as of 2024(?) and he was islamophobic so why would i assume that he's magically cool with muslims now?
if he apologized or took accountability then maybe people wouldn't hold him to his past behaviour but he hasn't shown any growth since high school in that regard

I mean being anti religion isn’t something to apologize for in itself tho I’d agree it’s a good show of character to apologize for that statement cuz what he said just isn’t true but to also assume whatever his views are now based off a tweet as a high schooler is just a silly leap, I don’t judge someone on their tweets in high school lol. The issue with Islamophobia usually is that it’s laced with racism and xenophobia so like they actually hate muslims not the religion but the people right it’s implies it’s beyond just not liking a religion that’s the reason it would be terrible.

u don't have to apologize for being anti religion but this isn't something that is simply "anti-religion"
and again, his behaviour hasn't changed since high school so why wouldn't i judge him?
