It's a big deal because the Weeknd's album debuted with over twice the number of units as Lil Baby's album thanks to bundles, which the Weeknd kept using weeks and months after his album dropped to boost his sales. That's the only reason his album spent 4 straight weeks at #1, meanwhile, Lil Baby's album is going to spend more weeks at #1 organically and without any real hits (no song off his album has reached the top 10 so far). The album is doing well thanks to longevity and people streaming more than just one or two songs off his album. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm happy for his success. I definitely never saw it coming this quickly.

Except, it hasnt. It was the top-selling album for 4 straight weeks, thanks, in part, to bundles. It hasn't reached #1 since then. Lil Baby's album has not only done that but will end up spending more weeks at #1, more weeks in the top 10 and has already outsold the Weeknd's album, which, a few months ago, had a solid lead.

How is DLDT a loss? It's a demo tape, lmao. It's not his real studio album. Yes, it debuted at #2, but it hasn't left the top 10 since it dropped, that's a testament to it's longevity. It's already sold over 600K units and will be Platinum eligible by the end of the year. And that's all for a demo tape made up of a bunch of loosoes and leaks.

Lil Baby also released a deluxe version of his album that gave him a boost and he's remained consistent since then. Him and Abel are comparable here because they both dropped actual studio albums and they both dropped deluxe version tracks weeks after their original album dropped. Drake did neither of those two things.
