BBTM has great singles, but the album is overall quite bad and sounds more dated than his four previous projects. Real Life, Losers, Dark Times, and Angel are some of his worst songs. There are also a lot of not bad but meh cuts like Shameless, Dark Times, and In the Night as well. Then there's cuts that approach being great Weeknd songs but seem afraid to scare general audiences, like Acquainted and As You Are. Only non-single song I go back to on that album is Tell Your Friends.

Edit: I wasn't as harsh on the album when it came out, but even then I remember being disappointed by Prisoner.

It's like going to that party you have been invited to on a Thursday and things are slowing down and are not as fun, who parties on a Thursday anyway ? Thursday needs context...

It might be his most generic/weakest album, but its not a bad album
