Batting 2/4 at most, realistically 1.5/4
Why do you think he's starting to slide down quality wise?
I think there’s a split in his fanbase.
The people that appreciated his older, more ambitious and “experimental” sound
And those who hopped on around SMF due to the more accessible sound and him still bringing his own flair to that sound.
This new album is so so much better than the 3 before. Metro should exec all of his album from now on.
Thug was never good at putting albums together.
His genius lies in his unreleased and mixtape songs. He just like Wayne in that regard.

Not better than SMF
so much fun was the first thug album to actually sell so they’ve tried and failed to recreate the same moment
which in turn started to hurt the music quality
Because his team consists of ret**ds who can't for the life of them designate and pick actual quality music to release from his infinite vault. Also they made a bound to NEVER f***ing release songs whose snippets generate attraction and it ends up being leaked years later
1. So Much Fun will be looked at down the line as a great album and a great moment for Thug’s career. Album is literally what the title tells you it is from start to finish.
2. Slime Language 2 is a YSL album in which Thug only appears on around half the tracklist.
3. Punk is very underrated in my opinion, but I think it is bogged down by some very odd sequencing decisions. All of the acoustic, introspective songs on that album are great.
4. Business is Business has been out for 12 hours

Thug's best songs are leaks. Explain that.
Punk the only miss on here tbh
idk if this a hot take but SL2>>>>>SL1

Leak culture is extremely toxic for two reasons:
1. Fans aren’t even supposed to be hearing those songs nor knowing they even exist. Judging an artist’s discography based off of songs they decided to not officially release is insanity.
2. There have been plenty of instances where there’s a grail snippet or leak that a fanbase goes crazy over, then the song officially releases and they all say the leak was better (even though most of the time it’s the exact same song)
People give Thug a free pass on this site, but then hold Travis, Uzi, Carti to a much higher standard
If those three dropped a project same quantity as BIB this site would rip them apart
His run ended at SMF for me, show was amazing. Everything after just been a victory lap

Point is those leaks inevitably set a standard to which the artist is held.
Why would I want to listen to anything Thug related that doesn't uphold this level of artistry?

Every artist got the same problem tbh

Agreed and i think SMF already is looked at as a good moment for most!

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy2i8UKukkEBecause Thug didn’t intend for anyone to hear this.
If this was on an older project and you’re upset that he isn’t meeting this level of quality on his newer projects, that’s fair. But judging an artist based off of leaked material is extremely toxic and ridiculous
