random whataboutisms don’t help your case

It's not a whataboutism it's literal proof that these people aren't privileged

why are you choosing between writers and factory workers lol

they're all working class citizens under billionaire ceos just asking to be paid in a equitable and reasonable way

And where did I suggest otherwise? I’m just saying there’s about 1000000 other causes I care about more than John Doe not being able to afford living in Hollywood cause he got bored of living in Nebraska and always wanted to write for Jimmy Fallon

Yea because they chose a job that they knew pays like sjit because they wanna make movies. People in poverty aren’t working film jobs cause they can’t afford to take that financial loss

It went from "lol writers make bank" to "they chose a job that pays like s***"

It’s without a doubt a totem pole thing. There’s only so much media coverage, attention, finances etc to go around.

Which is why i said "ACTIVE". U rather see strikes for other industries happen than one that's is already happening doesn't really make sense to me.

And it's a union v industry thing, people that need to know what's going on know whats going regardless of how much press their strike gets

my only point is solidarity would help their case AND the average american worker’s too. there’s a reason these writers’ struggles don’t resonate with joe the plumber.

if you want empathy, show empathy. if they have the skills to write about people struggling on minimum wage, for example, they should know that they are in fact privileged.

    Absolutely not.

Anyone supporting this strike is ableist because people with anxiety need Marvel movies for comfort + mental health.
