MarvinDrake and J Cole got the same quality discography. He's hardly above anyone else mainstream in terms of output.
The problem lies in that streaming era ie. 2015 onward managed to make how much people care about the music oscillate back and forth that nothing has long lasting impact anymore.
Nobody really cares about To Pimp a Butterfly, If You're Reading This It's Too Late, Life of Pablo, the way they care about MBDTF, Take Care/NWTS, and GKMC. The impact of those albums wasn't driven by ADD social media FOMO.
